Jærstolen AKSEL® passar i alle miljø – rak i ryggen, sprek og leiken. Tradisjonell, men samtidig tidlaus. Stolen frå Hjelmeland i Ryfylke har vore ein tradisjonsbærar sidan 1938.
Den enkle forma og designet på stolen, kombinert med styrke og komfort, gjer at den framleis står sterkt.
Jærstolen AKSEL® føl ikkje moten gjennom skiftande stilretningar; den fann forma si heilt frå starten. Stolen blei skapt av Aksel Lorentz Hansson, som hadde som mål å laga ein harmonisk stol som tok seg designmessig fint ut, hadde god sitjekomfort og var robust for lang levetid.
Jærstolen AKSEL® blir produsert i fleire variantar og edle tresortar. Flaggskipet til jærstolfabrikken på Hjelmeland er den klassiske modellen, med fire spiler i ryggen og sjøgras i setet. Designet på stolen blei utbetra over tid fram til 1965, og har fortsatt det same designet i dag som då.
I 2009 blei Jærstolen AKSEL® tildelt Klassikerprisen for god design av Norsk Designråd.

The AKSEL chair is offered from a variety of woods, We carefully inspect and individually select each tree that is to become an AKSEL chair, based on our exacting standards and commitment to sustainability.
The seats are crafted from your choice of sea grass, leather, recycled paper or textile. Hand weaving seats is in our blood and we have been doing it the same way, by hand, since 1938. The AKSEL chair is traditional and timeless in its design.
If you appreciate fine handcrafted Shaker furniture you will love the AKSEL chair. Versatile ladder back design, much in the tradition of a handcrafted Shaker chair will compliment most decors. The AKSEL chair comes in a variety of heights, widths, styles, wood species, and seat options, all in the color of your choice or natural, unfinished.
The AKSEL chair is built to last a generation or more. Europeans, who have an appreciation for quality and an eye for style have been enjoying these wonderful chairs for years.
